My wife Andie and I stopped by JPS today to take a look at my new Speedster. John is almost finished. Just the mirrors, rear tires, trim and a few adjustments and it's there. I'll fly down in two weeks to drive her home. I'll take the coast route and stop by to see my brother in Montecito and then up to San Luis Obispo to show my youngest daughter. After that it's up to the bay area for the week before home to Grass Valley and a brand new garage! Nothing but the best for my new love. What do you all think?

The engine is a 2110, dual webers, etc... The color is an Infiniti color called 'Liquid Copper', I don't know the paint # but you'll see it on the FX35 & FX45. The interior is a blend of black and orange/copper leather. I'll post more photos when I pick the car up in a couple weeks.
I would like to add that this has been one great experience! John Steele has been terrific to work with. He has been extremely patient with me on every detail- from the type and placement of the mirrors to waiting the extra two weeks while I hunted down the exact leather color I wanted. And it is so cool to go his shop!
I also want to thank John Leader for his support on this project. From the photo journal he did for me on the build to his advice. I am very appreciative.
And this forum.......PRICELESS! You all have been great contributors to my car and I hope to see as many as possible at Knotts! You all get a cigar!

Terry, what a beauty! I saw her up close 2 weeks ago while ordering mine. Great color -- you will definitely have one unique 356.

Question: what did you do to occupy your mind during the build process, aside from surfering every known possible motorsport- enthusiast's web site from here to Armenia??

Are you picking up your car on a Saturday? John tells me I will have something to actually take a picture of for my build diary pretty soon, and I'd love to come down and see you off.

P.S. I'm waiting to register as an actual owner until I have my first build picture. Ta
Hi Mike,
I felt like a nervous mother during the build. Second guessing every decision I made. My emails and phone calls to John were numerous. Throughout the process John has been very patient although I'm sure he's rolled his eyes more than once. Every time something came up on the forum (like CHT gauges) I was communicating with John, so I have been quite active in the build process. Of course, with the color and the leather, quite a bit of leg work was done by both of us to get it right.
John does email pictures during the build, but it's great if you can get down once or twice.
I've lost a lot of sleep and annoyed a lot of people, especially my wife, these past 10 weeks, but it has been a great experience.
Terry
