Spax makes an adjustable, I think Boge dose/did to. Koni hasn
Bilstein and of course KYB's are availiable.

KYB GR2 gas shocks are very stiff so perhaps appropriate for racing. The headlight assemblies are from pre-67 VW T1 or T2 so pretty much available anywhere in world that saw VWs. Aftermarket ones don't have very good chrome but price is low. Check www.cip1.com for parts.

I was just talking with a Koni engineer and they still make shocks for a bug. Sports and Specials for the rear and just specials for the front. Both have adjustable rebound damping but have to be removed from the car to be adjusted. For about $130 ea you can have the fronts modified so that they can be adjusted on the car. For a ball joint / IRS car front 80-1787, rear 80-2149
