here is an old shot of my ride. It's a 125-70-15 on a 4" stock smoothie wide 5 vw wheel. I've since put a gas heater (B2) below it and moved the tire up a bit on the tank.

I mounted a jack and tool kit below it and secured it to the body.

It fits just fine and won't leave me screwed (or waiting for roadside assistance) if I get a flat.
Not trying to pee on anyone's parade, but has anyone thought what your going to do with that 205 60 tire that you've just taken off the car that's flat?
O'yea, and it's also oily from a blown rear wheel seal, and it's raining..., and you discover that you are going to have to put it in the front seat with your loving better half..., NOT.

Fitting a full sized tire into the trunk is something I'm in the middle of reglassing up my trunk to hold.

I've been their with the rainy, oily and bad tempered senero before. Not fun!

How about a large trash bag to put your blown out full size tire in the back space/seat.

Or do what Porsche does with the Boxter and have a spare tire in a can/puncture sealent and a small compressor that plugs into you power source.

I run a spare tire, large trash bag and a couple of cans of spare tire in a can. The vert D needs the ballast anyway.

Speaking of ballast I had Mark in my right seat going up Mullholland drive and the D never handled better!

Cheers
Dave
