How about fabricating one from a chrome trim ring and ss mesh grill material? Someone on this site has a link for a supplier. Search for headlight grill guard - something like that!

Good luck - Mel
Spent some time surfin' and found that there are speaker grilles out there, princiaplly for the homemade Bazooka sub-woofer crowd, that you can find really cheap - $20. They tend to be a bit larger than needed for a 5-1/4 round. Might be plastic or cloth, had a hard time figuring out which. There was neat UK site, w/ elegant suff, also inexpensive vs. > $200, but no international trade -?- So was led to the same spot: Get some SS mesh and some tin snips, and Giterdone!
Another pair of 356A front speaker grills came up for auction, in very good to excellent condition. I bid 250 and didn't reach the reserve. I e-mailed the seller who informed me that 400 would buy it. I realize that real , 356 stuff is pricey, but ..... that in my mind WAS crazy. Do people really pay that much for original trim pieces?
I finally came across a set of generic metal (not plastic) speaker covers that satisfied my need. I just installed them today, spent all of 5 minutes. I think it looks much better than the modern after-market grills offered today, and at $16 a pair you can paint them chrome/silver or color match the interior.
