I have a set in my Dell 45s. They seem to work OK. You get a new idle jet holder that incorporates an air correction jet and then you have to pug the old air inlet on the surface of the carb. I got some new air cleaner elements shortly after I install the jet Doc. and haven
Hhhmmm....I'm glad to see plugged jets don't seem to be that big a problem out there. Reading past posts would lead one to believe otherwise. Thanx for your input.
I used to get plugged idle jets occasionally, at the time I was using the air cleaners that came with the carbs, CB Per. I think. Then switched to K&N, oiled them good, use the sealing grease, and havn't had one since. Has anyone used the Jet Doc with Webers yet? Eddie
I have the same problem that Ron OBlack has noted. Periodically I have the Jet Problem. Its less frequent since I started Servicing the K&N Filter Elements routinely and also I added a "Pre-Filter" externally of the Main K & N Filters. I have to routinely dive the car on a Dirt Road to gain access to the Pavement due to the Mountionous Rural Location that I live.
Since I Service the Pre & Main Air Filters, Seal the Tops/Bottoms of the Filters and Coat the Filters with Filter Lube the problem has really decresed.
About the only Carburation problem I experience now is on 100 Degrees I have Vapor Lock problems. Reroutng of the Fuel Lines within the Engine Compartment will solve this problem.
