Congratulations on being the first. I've been speaking with Steve at Specialty and plan on making a trip down there this week or next. Unfortunately, I'm a lot more than 40 miles from the factory, so my trips will be limited. He says he can have a car for me by June. When do you expect yours?
Herbert,
I am hoping for about a three month build, but hopefully before Carlisle. I really want to do that event. Ron, thank you sir, but I don't think my car will have the bar. Personally, I don't like the look and will specify the short overriders. Sorry pal, at last we disagree on something. I'll be in mourning for days.
John H.
ps. If you are in mouring in the evening, is it still mourning, or do you do evening in the morning? In the afternoon, what the heck do you do? Is that what they mean by a nooner? I'm so confused.......again.
RonO,
How about if I were to put big blue beads on the bar and change the license to "4VIAGRA?" But that would have to be on the front plate and in Tennessee they put the front plate on the back and the you don't need a back plate because there is already one there from the front. Maybe I could put my beads on the backside so it would look right. But I think the blue beads would clash with the surrounding red color. Ah, screw it, I'll just leave my beads off and go with the plain short overriders. Wait a minute, isn't that what I said in the first place? Ron, stop messing with my plan!
If we're taking a pole here, can I weigh in? If you take a broader look at the whole front, the chrome strip across the front bumper, the chrome bar and the shadow cast by the chrome bar, the whole thing looks like some lips -- and with the red color, it looks like lips wearing lipstick. I'd lose the bar too. But that's just one man's humble opinion. Don't tell Steve I said that or else my car will take longer to build than the gestational period of an elephant.
Herbert,
Perhaps Steve reads our posts to Lisa over the breakfast table to start the day with a good laugh.
Ron,
I think that this website should be required reading for your students. The world will become a better place, its youth having read our posts and making a concerted effort to put some distance between us and themselves. But, then again, maybe being a (little???) goofy and having fun doing it can't be all bad either.
John H.
