Glenn: As the owner of an SAS Cabriolet I can tell you that the engine is mounted mid-engine boxster style, which give the car a great road handling weight distribution. The top is water tight and interior engine noise is low enough to hear the radio. It has a 4-speed automatic with cruise control, electric windows, cold A/C and super hot heating, 4-wheel disc brakes a weeks worth of clothing storage under the trunk lid. No idea the top speed but have it a 100mph a couple of time with rpms to spare.
It has 17 inch rims and has front and rear coil-over shocks. If interested be prepared to wait at least 3 years for the queue to get to you as I was told there are 12 builds on the board. Payments are spread over the time-line giving you a chance to invest your cash in a CD like I did or to scrape up the next payment if you're doing it off the cuff. Used SAS are rare, however, occasionally a restless buyer will sell his position in the queue.
