is it safe to assume the bulb just burned out? They are the new LED I had IM install. They gave me a couple extras. Can I crawl under the dash to replace these Bulbs or Does gauge have to be removed. By the way the car is running great, it was beautiful last night so Sandy an me took a long ride. Toe in throttle and the car just has a smooth rush of power:-)

Did they work for awhile or are you just noticing. I put new LED in my new Miata and noticed a couple didn't work. Thought darn Chinese junk. Then I remembered my first year of electronics - LED have to be inserted with proper polarity )which isn't marked on LED). I removed LED and flipped the unlit ones around and they worked. A small delicate hand (sans driving glove) might be able to reach up past AC stuff to pull bulbs (she'll want pinot grigio afterwards). If it's multiple bulbs, I'd think a ground came loose somewhere as LED don't readily burn out.
Yes Greg, they worked for over 6 months.
Marty: Those speedometer bulbs are only good up to a certain speed.
After that, they burn out...

Whoa, someone needs to lay off the adult beverages this early.
One arm in sling ...one finger typing
I'm all " corn-fused " are you saying they all went out or one ?

Alan, the speedo went dark. The other two gauges are working.
Sounds like a wire fell off at the Speedo. The chance of multiple bulbs going bad all at once in a single gauge head is pretty low. Get under there and see if any wires are just hanging.

Bingo! The bulb is/was loose. Hard to get my hand in there to make sure it's really secure.

It'd be easier with the gloves off, Marty.
First choice is the ground for that gauge.........
Naaah, He found a loose bulb (read back a few). More common than we'd like, but that's the way the Speedster rolls. Those bulb sockets can be a little loose unless they're pinched just right.
Hey! I went to Paul Russell Restorations, yesterday (He has a LOT of Concours wins at Pebble Beach, Amelia Island and in Europe) and saw a bunch of pre-war cars being faithfully restored. Many of them had wiring harnesses with LOTS of wires and all with matching cloth covering over the wire (yellow/brown spiral stripe). Each wire has to be buzzed out to get the right one to each connector/terminal. Glad the world finally went to multi-color harnesses!
Sorry, we weren't supposed to take any photos there........
Anthony(son) got up and his hands are smaller; pop that sucker in. I have air-conditioning tubing that makes it even harder to reach.
Marty, when you peg the speedo, the shock must be knocking the bulbs loose.
Try backing off a little as you go through 120.

Yeah, the dash has that "Ecto-1" thing going:
Sorry, Marty - Just messin' wit'cha! It has to be really dark for me to see my multi and speedo, but the tach is pretty bright - Just the way it should be!
Gordon, looks better in person, No glare. They are a little bright at night- don't dim. Superbright LED says they have replacements that are dimmable . I'm in no rush to replace them but in the future I would consider.
MARTY:
Just got the report from NASA........ YEP!!! your dash is the 3 most visible site from space.. Congrats LOL LOL hell you beat out the taj mahal
