Speedometer

I have a Beck Speedster and have had the speedometer replace by Special Edition because the trip odometer was broken and the new one just broke.
Does anyone know where a person can get one repaired or where I can buy a new well made one?

Tom, have you ever pressed the trip odometer reset button while the car was moving? That is guaranteed to break the mechanism. You need to be stopped to reset the odometer. They're all that way, unfortunately.

Yes that is what I did at about 3 mph. But before I did that if I hadn't reset it and it got up around 6 or 7 hundred, the hundreds digit stopped advancing.

Mine suffered the same problem from day of delivery........The Brazilian unit had not been properly assembled, in that the proper shims were not used to keep the drive gears meshed in the trip odo......Being curious, I opened it up, found and corrected the problem.....Going for 7 years now....
