I should think they would be welcome - what other car has been so widely replicated, and in several different countries? Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...
They have a web site and if I remember they are asking for $4-500 for the price of admission. I would think at those prices a guy with a AMC Gremlin would be welcome! But back to your original question I think replicas were welcome. I guess I'd get on their web site and inquire about "us". I can look at it also and post what I find. 50 years, whoa Nellie!
Just looked at their web site, www.speedster50thanniversery.com and couldn't find if relicas were welcome or not. It has an address for questions, maybe you could go there.
