Saw this for sale and found the seats flipping up to be unusual.  Not sure if it would be safe but I guess your belts are connected to floor so maybe it doesnt matter... Here is the pic I am referring to...

Yes they did. I spent a long time doing the same thing to mine. Of all the stuff I've done along the way to make the car better, this was the one thing that was really not worth the effort.

 

But... that's a Glasspar hardtop. That's way north of $3K from Fibersteel. That guy has a LOT of time and treasure in this car. His ask (while high) does not seem crazy out of line.
