I tried looking into clear paint protection film for the front of the car and was told that if its not pre-fabricated (no one I'm aware of makes them for speedsters), then it wasn't an option. The alternative is then a traditional bra and I was wondering if anyone had any insight as to a good quality one that covers the whole front of the car (vs. just the lower portion of the hood). Any help is much appreciated to ottoberges@usa.net. Thanks.

I don't know if you're in CA, but I had a group called Premier Mobile make a clear bra for my 928.

These guys did great work and it came out perfect. It wasn't cheap, but I had just had the front of the car repainted and it's a lot less than having THAT done again in a couple years.

i'm debating whether or not to have a clear bra applied. i was impressed with the "stongard" product. it looked like a complete one piece kit with a separate hood piece being entirely protected. (1956 356a)

unfortunatley, these guys seem to be out of buisiness.

i spoke to a guy from paragon-products and they are going to deal with invinca-shield . their kit doesn't look as complete but what are your thoughts on this product? how similar will the kit be in terms of size/fit with the original speedster vs. our replicas?

anyone?

Thanks for the shout out Jim. I've installed alot of clear bra's or P.P.F. (paint protection film) learned to use bulk material which give me the freedom to go all the way to the fender well as well as covering more areas, most companies have different patterns some are great while other you wonder if the designer has been up for a week. The install - if you are not patient or clean don't attempt it you will be out of some benjimins (cash) if you don't feel comfortable cutting on you car ( pattern guy's say they don't cut on car I say all installers do from time to time, you have to know and have the right feel for it) 3-M and Avery are the players, Avery is very installer friendly, they seem to have the product down (no adhesive failure, yellowing, shrinking. Product should last 5 years or more get some quotes ( the install in one piece from driver side to pass.side took me 3.5 hours another 1.5 for the hood, door jams, both fenders, top of doors) I hope this answers some questions. L8er Cabanaboy OUT !!!
