I recognize the upholders out of a 993/996 interior. DId you make that? It is gorgeous.
Thanks---We cut down a mustang bezel on top and frenched it in—added the watch and the change section—and made cups out of exhaust pipe with black leather bottoms—and it has real nice automotive clear coat—might make a few more!!
Great idea! How you were going to secure it? Thanks
I would like to see it mounted when you get that far.
Very Cool, Jerry! I enjoy seeing how my SOC compadres personalize their Speedsters!
it will be mounted with the thick plastic Velcro like on an EZ pass--it sticks to the carpet very well--plus the 5/4 mahogany top and 5/8ths sides and front and back(which are arched to exactly fit the tunnel hump) make it have good weight--it wont move--don't want to drill into the enclosed tunnel
I have found Velcro to be an excellent attachment method for interior items.
That analogue clock is just killer. I do not own a digital time piece. Several Omegas I have are even wind up. THere is the automatic that everyone loves and I waited many years to justify buying. It was my retirement gift to myself but they keep crummy time. If minutes count I look at my phone. I realize you may have a quartz movement, but that face is just the cherry on the sundae. I wish I had your woodworking skills.
Thanks Jerry, my same thoughts on the install. Pictures after install?
I will post pics if I ever get the car back from repair shop---like I posted before , at 280 miles it started backfiring badly and would not shift into 2nd gear--so far cleaning the jets several times, checking timing and doing a valve adjustment has not cured the backfire--its a vintage speedster that is not driveable right now
