Definitely looks like a nice platform for a new build.
Talked to the chassis seller today, he is looking for... $3,500 ouch !
The motor is a single port, not desirable as it is grossly underpowered, the 1500cc single ports do have decent low end torque but they run out of steam at 60 mpg.
Motor would be best served up on ebay for a 1,100 lb. dune buggy application, perhaps it might fetch $700.
The whole chassis motor and used tranny package is worth at most $2k... A full cut'n resto chassis parts wise equates to about that.

Talked to him as well. Said that it was a 1600 with SP heads, like that makes a difference.
Single port motor is "boat anchor material"....but then again this with the "CMC Barn find" it would a decent, foot in the speedster door kit build for someone that wants to get into a lower cost build. Surely they could get the necessary tech stuff - advice here.

Based on past builds, I would estimate that this could be assembled and have eye appeal in the process in the $10-$11k range.

Don't think I havn't thought about it......If I just had a shop. I almost think it would be a bit cheaper to start with another pan cause I would wnat the following things: Different engine, Dropped front end and redrilled Disks. By the time you accomplish that all you are useing is the pan and transaxle.
Then there's an air ride pkg too at the rather low initial investment, it's doable.
