I need a little help because I want to change my speedster dash script to a porsche block letter script and was wondering if anyone knew the position of the studs and if changing it will have a visible stud hole. thanks for any help
Looks like th dash emblem pins are about an inch in, on each 'spear' and then an inch in from the side of the rectangle. The Speedster fender script has a bunch of pins, 5 or 6. I will have to look, but they are not symmetricly placed.
They do not line up. None match, (well obviously, one post will match one existing hole, but then you are stuck with that placement.) see the links, the photos show the posts
If the new script covers the old holes, you could just use 3M dual-sided tape. You would need to remove the pins on the new Porsche script, however. I have used the tape on body emblems, and it does work. On the dash, should be no problem. If the old holes aren't covered, you would need to fill and patch.
I wanted to stay away from filling any exposed holes but being white may be harder to detect i did see on the Sierra madre site the dua-sided tape made in Germany that's supposed work nicely.
