Speedster driving with the top up. What's it like and how is the visibility?

I never tried that.  That's the best tip I've seen on here in a while.  Can't wait for decent weather (and no salt on the roads) to try it out!  Pearl is patiently waiting on the lift (wheels off the ground) for a better PH on the roads to safely venture out.  That day can't come quick enough.

I can't remember if your side windows have the pop-out vents but if they do, that works as well.  I often ran with one vent facing forward and the other one facing backward for good air flow.

No fancy-schmancy pop out vents for us.  Just plain, old, slightly-larger-than-normal side windows with no frames (cuz we're cheap Yankees an' "We don' need no Steenkin' Frames!"

Speaking of "Pop-Outs":

For us IM guys... hit the button... drop the window down an inch and voila

PRO TIP for driving in inclement weather. I modified my window inserts and added an additional inch or so all around. They now tuck into the top and provide more of a seal. Little wind, less noise, and mostly water tight. Likewise I added the center screw down lock to the center of the top. That seals the top almost completely. My car is in storage for the winter or I would provide pictures. I published this before so you may be able to find them anyway. I also added direct venting from the heater boxes to the side pipes. Much more heat, defrost still sucks, and more engine noise. In the 30's the engine never gets hot enough to put our much heat anyway. The sealed top is a great benefit because we get a lot of PM Thunderstorms with little warning. Anyone on the Tour d Hoe from 17' can attest to that.
