Is that your car? Geegads - how many toys do you have? :)
I have a hot vw's mag at home with two of your sweet rides and now this one too? I've had a 60 vert ghia. i love the lines.
It's bold choice in colour, but i can atest to your comment on the cost / time on sourcing early ghia parts. Hens teeth.

I actually have only owned the car for about three months. I bought it with a full race trim 2386cc motor and gear box by KCR. The thing was not very friendly to drive on the street reliably to say the least.
I bought it with the intention of flipping it, and helping the p.o. with some financial issues. I have a modest reserve on it based on the current market of what customs are selling for and what the thing would cost to build. It is absolutly a car for the right buyer and has quite the history as far as a well known car Custom VWs go.
I would hate to think what the car would cost to build today. If it proves to be a hard sell, the thing is so clean, I would strip it and repaint it another color,...maybe strawberry.
And it is definitly an 80's style Cal look VW.

....or Plum Crazy!
I can appreciate the amount of hours spent and the detail is a credit to the talent of whomever did the work....
It will be interesting to see the interest it draws....

Angela, my dear, Patrick calls himself 2manytoys. You, who should call yourself 2manyprojects, should add that one to your list.
What a cool car.
Ditch that Blazer thingie.

Cory - you just gave me an idea about changing my SOC handle from MUSBJIM to; (1) 2manyLBS [pounds] or, (2) 2manykicks-to-the-head, or (3) 2manyXs-on-my-clothing, or (4) 2many-trips-2-the-buffett, or (5) 2manypolice-stops. Bwaaahaaaaahaaaahaaa!
Patrick - IMHO, I think painting that bad-boy KG black (leave interior same) might widen your market (Angela would probably auction off Steve for funds to buy it)! LOL

That's one of those fabulous old rides that still have Tina New's ass print on the seat left over from the photo shoot.

In 1971 "the guys" went to NYC for the car show. There sat the most stunning street rod I've ever seen owned by a tall well endowed long haired blonde beauty in pink hot pants and white boots (why to I remember this all so well?) Car (remember the car ?) was a mild pink with all chrome done in a medium soft copper plating.
Steve...I cheated, the wide whites are inserts...although the rears could have been real, the fronts were too small and didn't come in WWW. couldn't find them anywhere....
