If this is your car, can you tell us a little more about it?
PS- And good eye, Ted. I never notice that little detail....
Good looking car. I love how they decided to highlight the underside. "Hey Sal, get the forklift... we need to get a photo of this car..."
That takes huge stones!
Ted
Yikes! That looks like it could just slide right off. Interesting frame though.
I think we have seen this before. Look at the X-mas trim on the doors in the first pic.
Nice car, good price! Hope you find the right buyer!

I agree, the car is very nice. Shouldn't be hard to find a buyer.
Ted
I'd like to know how they got the rear end so low and only have a minimal amount of negative camber.
Maybe it handles better this way...
holy $hit just looking at those undercarriage pics made ME nervous....!!!
Very nice car, I too am wondering how it sits so (nice and) low.
I'll PM you with the additional info I'd like.
The car has irs (independent rear suspension) so you can lower it without a lot of negative camber.
Slammed23window- What size tires are on it? And are you selling this car?
My car has IRS and it looks like the car above!
I talked to a suspension guy and he said that the trailing arms would have to be modified to get my rear wheels straight at the current ride height. $1400 job.
Rusty- I've heard of guys reversing the trailing arms (and cutting off and re-mounting the shock mounts) when lowering their bugs a lot. You could also change the position (angle) of the stub-axle housing when narrowing a set of trailing arms, but as I don't know exactly the path they travel, I'm not sure what affect this would have. Hmmm. I think I know who to ask these questions, and I may see him tonight at bug club meeting. Stay tuned for (possibly) answers tomorrow!
$1400 seems a bit high to me but then I don't know what all is involved. These cars are money pits!
It does sound like a lot. It would be interesting to hear what you get for your money. And yes, they are money pits!
Didn't you just get this car? I remember you were looking back in early January. I didn't know you had found one.
I really dig the color combination. Car looks spot on. Engine compartment needs a tiny bit of sorting, but all in all - great looking car.
Is that fan under the rear grill 'pushing' or 'pulling'?
Ted
Fan is pulling
Fan is pulling
I hear you. That 23 will be priceless when it's done. What are the 'red lights' on the left and right corners of the dash?
Good luck with the sale,
Ted
sold, thank you guys
Hopefully the new owner will jump on and become a member.
I also hope to see you around s23w.
