Hey Alan; I got lucky! Since I was out of town earlier today I told my wife to tape for me Horsepower and Trucks on Spike TV. Luckily for me the VCR started recording earlier and it caught the whole Classic Car & Driver segment on the Speedster. Did you see how much smoke that Carrera was spurting out? It looks like it needs a rebuild but the cost is probably prohibitive; maybe that's why the owner hasn't got it done...

Glad someone caugh the show, yeah... lol, the Carrera looked like a "chugger" all right!

Check out this ebay auction for a Carrera 4 cam engine. $24K and it hasn't reached its reserve yet.

From what I understand, an engine like that in like new shape would cost from $75 to $90K. I imagine a rebuild on an engine like that would be kind of steep too.
