I'm finally going to have time for my kit. I bought it in '86, and it's been waiting for "the love" for a long time. Before I dive into it I want to get everything I need. I am in good shape for the most part but I have decided to put a hump on ("what hump?"). If anyone knows where I can get one...please let me know via email @ 4vwnutz@twc.com. I live in Maine, but I am willing to travel a ways.

Yes, the fiberglass "tonneau" that mounts on the rear of the passenger area.

No, I don't have one. They come up for sale once in a while. I don't know where to source one.
IMHO do not " get everything you need" prior to beginning a speedster build, this allows for changes along the way without have left over parts that you'll need to sell to recover a portion of what you spent for them.
Go with the "DOC".... He has 40+ builds to his credit and knows of which he speaks....
