The only difference between ordeal and adventure is your attitude!!

Excellent video. The original floating U-Boat. Now, all you need to do, is have a replica enigma machine mounted in the dash.
Should have opted for the optional inside windshield wipers too!
I've got one word and a letter for you.....
Rain-X
Of course, it wont do jack for what dripping on the inside. Yikes!
Carlos - it was done and done before the rain! But the rain was really heavy and coming in sideways!!

Been there and done it too many times, Collin. Rain-X is a good product but no cure when you're stuck between two Semis in heavy rain on I95 at 25 mph and your wipers are a bit dodgy.
Not much will stop rain coming in sideways. I did find that gluing a small...like 1" strip of old wiper blade refill from the windshield post back and out towards the door / body joint will redirect the flow sometimes.
Glad you did ok thru it. Here's a crazy pic of mine at 7,800 feet getting up to Mesa Verde Park a while back. No fun.
driving in the rain with a light weight car, marginal wipers, and a sieve for lateral protection is just scary.
I'm not looking forward to being caught in the rain, in my Spyder, with no top or wipers, and I live in a temperate rain forest.
The next 6 days are supposed to be clear and cool. Ahh, fall is around the corner.
Been there, done that in my VS. Came home from a PCA run that was cancelled after we had lunch. Sarah and I had the wet badge of courage, me on my left sleeve and her on the right. But you're right, the right attitude attitude made it fun and after towel-drying the carpeting, the bright sunshine the next day took care of the rest.

With that Spyder of your's you could go the Mythbusters route and drive so fast the rain doesn't make it into the car. LOL
I love the Mythbusters.
I was thinking of a tonneau/poncho. It would be a hooded poncho that you could snap on like a tonneau cover and have a zippable clear window so you can see the gauges. Goggles would be extra. It'd be the urban sombrero of the auto world. I could make millions.
That is brilliant. Model it after the spray skirt for a kayak.
That first video looks like the drive from Malibu to Paso for the first central coast run.

I can testify that it is possible -- indeed preferable -- to stay dry in a Speedster in the rain if you drive fast enough. With the top down. Might get some good use out of the tonneau, so have one of those handy. Got in a gully-washer on the way to Carlisle one year on I83. No problem until I stopped.
Speedster standard equipment: a couple of towels. And the little rain dam David mentions works great. Can be made with blue tape, if you take a minute, and comes right off when the rain stops.
