Speedster of unknown mfg for sale

Just heard of a red speedster for sale in the Virginia Beach area of Virginia that is for sale. All I know is that it has a 1600 engine, body looks decent but paint is rough (red). Guy doing some touch-up on my engine saw it yeaterday.
It is located at The Bughouse, a vw parts supplier 1-757-497-8080. He was told the asking price is $10,000. It is being stored indoors. Sorry I don't have more info.

I'm new to this forum. I'm looking to purchase a car. What would be a reasonable price for one like this? I'm also looking for the gentleman i met in Oklahoma. He was getting his car ready to drive out to Knotts. I saw his car and talked the wife into letting me get one. Funny, before i joined the Navy, i lived 5 minutes from Hawaiian gardens.
