You can see both Beck Speedsters and Vintage Speedsters at Car Special in Kerpen. If I recall, North Rhine is only about 100Km from Kerpen.

Off the top of my head, the only person I can remember living in Germany with a Speedster is Andreas Eizinger, who teaches at the University at Frieburg. Last contact I have is: eizinger at hotmail.com

He has a Vintage Speedster which he imported (with difficulty, as you know) into Germany from America.

I was under impression that German TUV were very against kit cars - as fussy as they are on a dented fender or rust they'd have a fit over cutting a VW chassis in half and welding back together. Check out the link to the new Polish build Speedster! Wunderbar!

If you want to see a Beck speedster that isn't completed (as it is shipped directly from Special Edition) and can wait until the summer you can see mine. I will be moving to the Cologne/Bonn area in June.

If there will be a speedster club in the area, I will join it for sure.

Johan and Mirko, I know for a fact that the uncompleted Beck Deluxe kit is an easy build. A bunch of guys built mine in 16 hours at the '06 Carlisle show. It's a great way to go.
