Hey guys!

I've been researching the speedster kit cars for quite some time now, and am almost ready to go all out and purchase one! I just want to be able to have the car for a weekend in order to make a final decision if this car is actually right for me. Anyway, to the pt. Do you guys know of any company in SO-CAL that rents out Speedsters?

I would very much apreciate any help on this question!

Thanks a bunch

...or head down to the beach.
There is a small company on Pacific Coast Highway, just south of Huntington Beach, as you get into Newport Beach, a small parking lot where they rent out Prowlers, Vipers, Hummers, and when the "June Gloom" lets up, there are usually a couple of Speedsters parked there. If you want, I can get their number for you next time I'm cruising by.

Ok, so it's been quite a while since I posted this thread.. Any updates? I still haven't been able to rent a speedster.

I rented one about 6 years ago in NEWPORT BEACH on Bristol Blvd near Fletcher Jones (jamboree) I called the place and they said they sold it.. :(

Anybody know of any recent info?

Let me know!

Thanks!!!

In Newport Beach on PCH there is Phillips Automotive, they are between the Newport European (Ferrari) Motors and the Newport Car Wash (across the street from the Balboa Bay Club).

Phillips has an array of Euro-cars (Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Astom Martin, Custom Motorcylces) and occassionally a couple of Speedsters. You might stop by there and see if they can give any insight.

There's also that Car Rental place on PCH next to the Royal Thai Restaurant that Brian G. mentioned (across the street from Hoag Hospital).

There's also a place on the Strip in Las Vegas (close to the Lexor Casino Hotel). So kill two birds with one stone the next time you're in Vegas.

Otherwise, you're more than welcome to meet up with some of us SoCal SOC'ers on our next cruise (Or Cars & Coffee - see link) and drive a VS or CMC Speedy. Not sure who has a IM in the area.

Give me a holler sometime and we'll hook-up (I'm in Turtle Rock next to Shady Canyon).

Peace - Out!
