Some of the pictures are not correct on the BJ website.... here are some of the car...

I am confused.  The pictures are not correct?  How can a picture not be correct?  I am not asking that with an aggressive tone.  I am truly curious.

When I first saw the sales price and the photos, I thought, "How much did they pay for that Porsche horn button?", and in the photos you posted, there is no Porsche horn button.  Guess the seller has good marketing sense.

The car was being built when the customer entered it in the Auction , he has purchased multiple cars from me and multiple in the past from kirk . Barrett Jackson needed a Photo of the car to list it on the website when he signed up for the auction. We finished the car last Thursday , this is why the car in the photo is a little different.

Totally agree with Jesse.

Gotta admire the ballsiness of the seller.

And the cluelessness of the buyer......

I'm very happy for the seller ( $$$ easy money ) and happy for the buyer too. Come to think of it, good for the builder too as long as he will support the product properly. Some people need this stuff. I've watched some of these auctions and the look on a successful buyers face and the admiration of his close friends ( or others ) makes him just feel good when he wins. Like I said...some people need this and can afford to get into the limelight when they feel like it. He'll celebrate tonight, buy his friends a big dinner, give a very generous tip to the server, they go home happy and maybe buy  something nice tomorrow, the sales person gets a commission and stays off the street for one more week ....etc. ad nauseum....it's all good.

I think WNGD has it right: The "rich guy" is 65, his wife is 22. SHE's got the 44's and he's gonna be working on a heart attack later that night!

That was my first thought, and it may be true about the 2nd bidder, but I just watched that episode and the winning bidder was there with his friend, no wife or honey.  Congratulations to Greg, and a huge congratulations to the person who had the guts to order the car on speculation.  I would have thought the premium for immediate pickup to be a couple thousand.  The person who ordered this car from Vintage tiene Huevos Grande.

Wow! Just Wow! These cars are such a great investment. It's no wonder the owner at Beverly Hills Motors has been buying these up. Who would have ever thought?

You know if anyone wants my IM for $70,000 I'll sell it!!! We can skip all that auction crap and fees and get right down to an all cash transaction. I might even be able to arrange financing!

Lots of resto mods and trucks have sold for pretty good money.  On the high end in my opinion, but still far less than they cost to build. Many iconic cars from the 50s and 60s with all modern running gear.  Pretty cool but not cheap.

Just saw a completely restored original '67 Z/28 that sold for the same as the Speedster replica.  The restomod Camaros are selling for more than that original Z/28. Restmod Corvettes are selling for more than originals.  Almost like everything has turned upside down.
