I am a newbie looking to find a replica in Northern California. I've loved these since I was a kid and finally ready to buy. Anyone have suggestions on where to find a deal?

Colt, Keep watching this sites Classified forum. Also check out Samba.com, Ebay and Craig's List. It may benefit you to research the many threads on and around this subject on this site also. There is a wide range in prices so take your time to absorb the the difference between a deal and getting stuck. Good luck in your search.
You probably have some kind of budget in mind, Colt so your next step might be to try to define your needs in the car. High/low power, what will you use it for ...occasional dry weather cruising or traveling a bit ? Will you insist on AC? Do you like the wide body look or the traditional body style ? Need real heat? Can you do a bit of work on it yourself or do you need to hire out the maintenance to someone else ?
WTTM Colt! (MUSBJIM will define that term for you shortly, I'm sure.)
You might want to solicit some friendly mentoring advice from a couple of the NOCAL SOC members. There are several who will probably chime in here. Really helps to have a couple of guys in your corner. Doubtless they will know of a car or two that either available or will be available soon.
Good luck in your quest!
Thanks for all the feedback! I would like a traditional style body. Doesn't need to be in showroom shape. I want a reliable daily or weekend driver. I'd love to beat 15k or less. I can do some work n it myself.
Here's you go. It's in San Jose. I haven't listed it elsewhere or shown it to anyone yet. Will probably do so in the next couple of weeks.
