Beck is a tube chassis Speedster with a flat floor and lots of legroom. Will these fit a pan based car where seat base needs to be about 18-19" (to clear side rails and tall center tunnel)?
I would think so but I am not 100% sure I have seen these seats in a IM speedster hopefully some will chime in that knows for sure
Thank You
Hey Pete, I see you have the windshield off. What’s up?
Hi Lane
wind shield got cracked in shipment Taking advantage of cleaning dash and returning it back to the color that matches the rest of the interior Thanks for asking before sun fade
Yeah, 12 years of sun definitely faded a few spots. Got any recent pictures? I can't wait to see it again.
Just a thought - Vinyl can be successfully redyed.
On a Beck it's leather, but that can be redyed as well.
The other red car in my life the yellow is IM that I missed out on so I purchased Lanes Beck
Great to see you in here, Pete.
just curious..... Where do you live? I’m up in New England.

@Lane Anderson who does the redye?
There are DIY kits available, but a good upholstery shop should be able to do it. There are some folks that advertise online.
What year is your /2 motorcycle? I have a 58 r60 with sidecar.

Hey Pete, since you're along the path to Carlisle, wanna join the caravan this year? I don't know which day I'll be passing by, but it'll probably be Wednesday. Also, at some point this spring I need to head up that way and meet Danny Piperato to pick up the trailer I'm buying from him. Maybe I could swing by, meet you, and have a beer or something.
Pete: I have been restoring old BMW bikes for about 25 years. Love the one that I have now and have been focusing on my Speedster. I ride my K1600GTL on long tours and to the BMW International Rally every year. This year I'm crossing Canada to hit all the Western Provinces and dropping down into Washington. The rally is in Great Falls Montana.
I love bikes! And, have been on two wheels since I was 4! ;-)
had a 1150RT(CHP was using them) and then a K1300GT(too much bike for me) now have 74 Norton Commando 850 +69 BSA thunderbolt...more in my comfort factor..:}
You went all British on me! Two great bikes though!
When my older brother - now passed on - was a teenager, somehow he ended up with a WWII Norton.
The main thing I remember was parts falling off as he went down the road.
He graduated to a Harley, then to four wheels. My mother was relieved.

no more motorcycle stuff do not want to be kicked off site motor heads like all things with wheels and gasoline LOL
My older brother owned a Norton 750 Dunstall for a short time (and Isle of Mann model?) Never seen a bike shake so much when idling. It smoothed only slightly under hard acceleration but Oh My God, could that thing scoot. Scared the heck out of me the one and only time I ever got on it.

750 Dunstall that's one bad ass machine !!
After 50 years of riding;,,, I sold my last bike. I will miss riding in the WV mountains but it's the right time to hang it up.
I'll quit riding mc when they pry it out of my cold dead hands .... hopefully the motorcycle didn't contribute to them
A friend of mine's father was riding into his mid 80s and I hope to follow in his foot steps.. errrrr ....tire tracks...
I've been riding since I was a kid and still have an 1800cc in the garage.
Gordon: My senior year of high school, 1972, the last day before graduation... my friend picked me up outside of school on his Norton Commando. He proceded to ride with me hanging on for dear life, up the loading dock ramp, through the doors and into the hall.
I went to a large school with over 2500 kids at the time. The school footprint was a large rectangle. He rode right around the rectangle, stopping in front of the Principal's office. He sat there reving the engine with oily exhaust and loud backfireing going on.... then burned out with the rear end drifting right and left leaving a big black line of burned tile and rubber right in front of the main entrance! We both had half helmets and glasses on. As we rounded the 3rd corner of the rectangle heading for the doorway, I looked back and could only see thick black smoke! We got away clean, down the ramp and out on to the street.
Right after that, a kid whos parents owned a meat distributor for restaurants and groceries, let about 30 live chickens go right inside the front entrance.... Our prank fell off the radar screen as all of the office folks chased the chickens around the school for hours. lol!!! One of my favorite motorcycle stories!
Our High School main hall was over quarter of a mile long at ground level I rode a Honda 150 dream in through the double doors at the parking lot side rode the bike the entire length laying on the little beep beep horn as I went by the principal's office and out the other door I too got away with this!
Last week the shop went on a retreat to the Talladega AL area for some team building and to ride our mountain bikes. It rained one day so we couldn't ride, so we had to do something. Well, near by was the Barber Motorsports Museum. I don't and have never owned a motorcycle, but I love anything mechanical especially if it makes noise and smells of gasoline. The wife says I can't have one because I'm too aggressive behind the wheel, or in this case, bars.
This place was amazing. It was total sensory overload. If anyone happens to be in the area, I'd highly recommend a visit. It was mostly motorcycles, ranging from the beginning of two wheeled motoring to modern machines. There were also some automobile displays.
I'll leave you with one of my favorites. There was too many to post here.
Again, it was 4 floors of sensory overload.

I've got a 1980 R100T for sale with 60K on it if anyone is interested. I bought it from th original owner 4 years ago. It's a sweet bike, I'm just not riding it much anymore now that the new Spyder is up and running so well.
I too have had the pleasure of visiting the Barber Museum. It is a great place to visit. Even the sculpture outside the building is impressive.
