I am building a Streetbeast classic. the seats that come with the kit are a joke.(I knew that when I bought it and had already deceided to get better seats when Im got to that part of the build.)
Anyone have any suggestions on what kind of seats to put in. I'm 6'2" tall and need a little more seat than what I've got.

Ummm, Joe. Those fiberglass shells are just that, shells. They should have a complete padding and cover kit that comes with them you are supposed to use to asemble "real" Speedster seats. More realistically though you take the shells and covers, list them on eBay and use the money towards already assembled Speedster seats .

I am 6' 6" and 225# and they let me sit low enough in the car I can see through the windscreen without the Herman Munster sysndrome but they are tight for my rear too. I had thought about the newer racing seats evey young guy fits to his little import these days. Cheap and attractive, I don't know about comfort though.

I can recommmend the 914 seats. I sold the CMC buckets and bought a couple of 914's. Cut the headrests off and had them recovered for $500. They are just as low as the others, and are much more comfortable for me at 6'5" and 230#.

I have some photos in my profile. If you decide to go this route and would like some photos of what I did when cutting the headrests off - apparently it made the upholsterers job much easier (so he says) - email me and I can send them to you.

Cheers,

Jim.
