Marty, I had the exact trailer 7 years ago I had to cut down that from horizontal bar to get the car fwd enough on the 12' trailer and removed that load gate as it catches way too much wind drag and I decided to make a couple of ramps.

can you drive up/down that gate without wood spacers? I say go aluminum and not steel. The lighter the better..plus get a front fairing of some sort for aero' and to protect the paint

Marty,don't they have temporary registration where you live? That is until you get your permanent tags and registration.In NJ if you buy a new car,you get a temporary registration to drive with for up to 30 days,or until your permanent registration and tags comes in the mail.

Marty, I'm so sorry to hear you're still going through license plate nightmare. Would you like me to make you a real official looking plate that states license (no pun intended) applied for?

Rich has the idea. My neighbor has a printed out plate on his camper. Hasn't had a problem with it in years.

I'd do a license applied for thing. It's the truth and you can have the paperwork with you. Use your Bill Of Sale and Ins card and just go.

If you trailered (perish the thought!)you'd still need to do something like this while in Carlisle.

I see "license applied for" all the time that dealers supply.

Check with your license dept and do it! Just Rich's idea on thick white cardboard like the ones dealers use. Maybe also check with a dealer there for one?
