It has been very exciting to watch the number of Speedsters and Spyders in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana explode over the past two years...having said that, I would like to invite everyone to what I hope will be our first annual meeting on Galveston Island, Texas this May 27th!

Every year Galveston Island hosts a huge classic car show the Saturday before Memorial Day. It is sponsored and promoted by the Oldies radio station in Houston, and this year's show is shaping up to be better than ever. While there will be a wide variety of cars there, it will be a great opportunity for Speedster and Spyder owners from Middle America to meet. We've requested that the city block off two solid blocks on Galveston's Historic Strand Avenue for the show. I'm working on a web page, and hope to have details posted very quickly.

Not familiar with Galveston Island? It's a barrier island just south of Houston and features 32 miles of beaches (most of which you can drive along), tons of Victorian architecture, lots of attractions, and plenty of good seafood. Check it out at www.galveston.com
