Gerd -

I was thinking that if there was enough interest amongst Pismo attendees, my son, Colin, could personalize this logo with your (et al) car.

Colin would remove the 3-car combo pictured and insert a pic of your car e-mailed to him. Pic should be at least 360 dpi. The pic of your car would be enlarged to fill the space currently holding the 3-car combo. He would then e-mail personalized logo back to you to download and do with what you wish (T-shirt, sweater, poster, etc).

There would be a nominal fee for this (yet to be determined). Maybe $20...or what?

I'll also be checking with Theron if the vendor that does our SOC Calendar will print T-shirts/Sweaters with this logo.
Good work Blake & Jen.
Brenda and I will make our pics for lunch and send you a U.S. funds bank draft to cover lunch + dinner.
I've extended my June travel plans to include the VW Classic in Irvine the next weekend thus am contemplating a drive down there in our '65 Double Cab instead of the Roadster.
If that happens I hope you'll still accept us at the Pismo Beach gathering. I guess we can always be the "sweep" vehicle on the Saturday tour.
As an added bonus to driving the pickup we'll have more room to haul down some Canadian beer!

Rick, as you can see, you'll be more than welcome in the double cab. Heck, a lot of us are driving VWs, too. ;-)

Update & Volunteer Needed
Warren and Karen will host an open house at their place Friday evening from 4pm-7pm. Maps to their home will be at the front desk of the Spyglass Inn.

Also, Warren is putting together Sunday morning drive routes for us! The plan is to have a north-bound drive and a south-bound drive. What a perfect way to end the week and get us heading home. Warren will lead one group, but he can't be in two places at once so we need a volunteer to lead the other group. All you have to do is be able to follow the route that Warren is planning.

big THANKS to Warren for everything he's doing!
What a difference a day can make!
Just over a week ago I was debating which vehicle to bring down for Pismo Beach and the VW Classic and now we have to cancel the entire adventure.
We're fine, it's business related and we all know how that can go. After all, it allows us to plan these adventures then follow them through, usually.
This time our company wins.
Have fun, we'll be thinking about you June 3-5.
Yes, we're on for the the IM 2011 Tour which has been moved to Sept 23-25 in B.C. Wine Country (just over the Can/US border on Hwy 97 - north of Wenatchee, Wa)
I think Henry is planning a separate BBQ event at the shop earlier in the summer.

Again, we'll seriously miss attending Pismo Beach. So much fun to enjoy, so little time...
Okay the dinner menu is set. Warren and Karen sacrificed themselves to taste test some of our options and...they said the food was great. So here's the menu and entree choices. I need your selections by May 23rd.

Green Salad
Choice of: Lemon Chicken Breast or Steak Style Tri-tip
Both are served with mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, and garlic bread.
Dessert

Don't forget your lunch choices are:
 Turkey and Provolone Sandwich with Pasta Salad OR Green Salad
 Roast Beef and Pepper Jack Sandwich with Pasta Salad OR Green Salad
 Chicken Caesar Salad
 Deli Salad (like a Chef Salad)
All lunches include a soda and cookie

For those of that have already paid, I'll contact you in the next few days to get your selections.

If you haven't mailed your check yet, please include a note with your choices when you send your check.

As stated previously, this years raffle prizes will be donated by anyone who wishes to do so, and the format will be that you purchase tickets and a drawing will be held at the Saturday night dinner.
The money collected will also be raffled off after all the prizes are gone....We would like to have prizes that will prompt you to buy tickets, but I don't think more than a dozen or so is necessary since the complaint in the past is that it takes to long....
If you wish to donate something that you think someone would like to win, post it here and I will start a list...
