Here we go. Francine's birthday August 19th, Sunday. We stay in Lake Placid on Thursday, the 16th, then we've got three nights booked at the N'er Beach Motel in Wells, Maine starting on Friday, Aug 17th. It's a pretty low key mid range motel with pool ect. and near the beach. Very clean and near everything. They have their own outdoor grills etc. but the bonus is they have a large lobster/clam cooking station too. Peter Venuti is only down in Beverly, Ma. also. Carl are you in Old Orchard Beach or further North in Orchard Beach ? If you want to do a piss-up, Saturday might be the best day. Gordon, that would be great if you came over. You're sure right about the Ipswitch clams. Everyone is welcome. I just checked with the motel and there are a few rooms available at this time if someone wants to crash overnight. The Labstah vendor is just down the road and there's plenty to see and do. As an aside, we've been trolling this part of the East Coast for decades...anywhere from Portland down to Hyannis since back in my offshore sailing days.
