Speedsters in Miami/Ft Lauderdale

I've been interested in buying a running Speedster in Florida. I've never even sat in one of these cars, but a few years ago I had the pleasure of flogging a Beck Spyder in VA. That experience has stayed with me!

If the Speedster is anything as entertaining, plus maybe a bit larger for my 6'02" frame, then I'd love to try one out in person.

So the question is: is there a group that gets together somewhere in my area, or a current owner who wouldn't mind my viewing your car in person?

Hey Bruce. I've owned my speedster for just over a year now and would love to answer your questions and show off my ride! I know there are a few more people from south florida, but we've never gotten a cruise together. I'd like for the south florida speedster communtiy to keep growing...

There is going to be a VW car show at Sebring coming up Saturday, Sept. 9, starting at 9am. Not too sure, but there might just be a couple replicas at that event. I'm sure the owners will not mind seeing if you fit in their ride.

Maybe see you there. I am planning on bringing my Ghia vert there down from Melbourne.

I would love to take you up on getting a look up close at your Speedster. And I do have a few questions to badger you with.

BTW, your car is a real beaut. Just what I would like to find used for my own enjoyment!

Bruce, the "roomy" thing varies between Speedster brands. The Beck Speedster is one of the roomier ones due to the frame design. They (Special Editions) has only been importing them for a couple of years, so there may not yet be any used ones around, but I heartily recommend them.
