I'm looking to get my eyes on a speedster in the Buffalo/ Western New York area. Just wondering if anyone has built one or knows someone out this way. I'm a high school shop teacher and we are going to be taking on a build. I'd love to see one in person before we start cutting the chassis.

Here's a unique one near NYC for $10.5k. Less than 300 made at a kit cost of $14k. Getting it in shape (sorted) would be good auto shop experience - and you could sell and double your initial investment (IMHO). Price a real 959 that this 359 replicates!

Try to make it to the May Carlise PA event - will be ~50 Speedsters there from $80+k IMs to $12k home built FF/CMCs. Have an Egg Sammich with DrClock (WV) and Danny P(NY).
I really don't know what this year will bring, but we haven't seen 50 cars(and 80 people) for a few years now. We can hope for a bigger turnout, but what will be will be. Maybe the Canadian border will be REALLY open and three or four of those guys will show up.
Anyway, May 12-14 this year.
There is a gentleman on here named @Safety Jim Buffalo NY. who is local to you and has an older pan-built Speedster that he's done quite a bit of work to.
I have a Spyder, and am on the complete opposite end of the state, so I'm really not of much use in the Hudson Valley. It's a 7 hour ride. Buffalo is closer to Cincinnati or Pittsburgh honestly...

We are hoping, @DannyP but who knows what is ahead? It's about time we were free to travel more. Those of us who take precautions, will continue to do so, regardless of what is mandated or not mandated.
