Yes, Darcie, the third Spyder is Lenny Cuccurredu(pretty sure I spelled it right!). Does your exhaust hit, or is it the body? Spyders are 12' 2" if I remember. Guess it's that extra 2" that is messing up your hauler plans...

It looks like three of us from EVTV will be coming to Carlisle to join you all for the first time. We are bringing two Speedsters and a Spyder - all electric drive.
It sounds like a tremendous amount of fun and we're looking forward to it.

Danny,
The exhaust is fine, it is the damn body!!! We have tried everything! The front of the car comes right up to the full bathroom and it is not something we can move. On the other side is cabinets and the fridge :( The damn car has 50000 feet on each side but not one centimeter clearance on the front or back. We have tried raising the clamshell and no luck. I have found someone in our car club that says we can borrow his trailer. I didnt ask if the deck was solid or two tire *tracks* I am hoping it is solid because I have not found a trailer yet that the Spyder will fit on as the wheel base is so narrow. We drive the car to all the shows but as you know the distance for Carlisle would be unpleasant in those racing seats. Hope it all works out, we really want to go!

Well yes, but think of it as a great adventure.

Most of the newer open deck trailers are overall, 102" wide...
what you would need is a 96" wide trailer that has a max center opening of 42" . ~Alan

Spydergirl--go! You are so close you will be in the running for Shortest Drive! You will have a super time---guaranteed!
What Jack said.
Drive It! I'll be driving with a freshly implanted left knee! Don't believe what is said about the seats...Carry an extra cushion and a small cooler loaded with you favorite "tea". Set back and enjoy the ride! Don't forget the sun screen...at a level 40.
I don't know what you have for seats, but the first time I went to Carlisle, I drove my Spyder (Beck) from Gainesville Ga.....I enjoyed the drive, without undue discomfort.....The fun began at Carlisle, when I discovered my alternator pulley had grenaded itself......I made a LOT of friends that day..... 8 - )

Aaron, maybe you could upgrade to a bionic butt, while you're at it and then you won't even need a cushion 8-).
Well, you must have known I was trying! Boy, between driving to Hendersonville. the physical therapy and the new knee seems to have effected the skeletal alignment of the backbone. The only relief is when I use a shiatsu massage cushion. I have an appointment with my chiropractor tomorrow before therapy. We'll see.
E.C. Bruce,
Has Peter Choy signed up? According to his post in General, he is heading to Carlye. After reading his Beck build specs...a good car to be with the rest of the crazyes.

To anyone who is planning to join us at Carlisle, it's important to know you're coming so we can plan accordingly - heads counts are important. There is an RSVP form at the top of this thread and hotel information under another thread in the Events category. Come on out and join us!!!

Dadgum water-cooled guys. You just can't depend on them.
O.K. time for another booster shot of the Carlisle 2010 video to get everyone even more pumped up...
You just GOTTA come Jim. It won't be the same without our videographer.
Ok folks, if we gotta do it without Jim this year we'll all have to step up. I can take lots of pictures, as can others. Can anyone do some video? Maybe we can convince Jim to collect our input and do the honors with that. Jim? Everyone?

Only 60 days until the Speedsters meet Spyders and only 28 days until Carlisle increases the cost of registration by $10! Not to put too much pressure on you but the hotel rooms are going fast and we are getting closer to the maximum count for the cruises and dinners! We hope you'll come out and join us this year. This is the largest event for these cars east of California and it grows and gets better every year.
Lane - due to circumstances beyond my control I won't be able to attend Carlisle this year and I'm REALLY bummed about it. However, if Marty & Sandy attend, Sandy has put together some pretty good SOC videos as well!
Oh man, Carlisle without the Guamaniac is like Nachos without Jalepenos!
