Paul,

My green one is on the site already. I sold it to Percival Lafer's import manager in Wilmington. The MP Lafer and the TI Lafers are not considered MG TD replicas or kit cars! Tremendous amount of differences between the two. The MP lafers are considered to be a better automobile than the MGs. I know Percival Lafer up close and personal. Just a reminder...don't refer to the MPs or TIs as a kit car or MG TD replica in front of Percival...you have been warned! The Lafer in the photo was autographed by Percival at the Hickory Furniture Show. Do you know what MP stands for in Portuguese? Very few owners do!

I organized the MP Lafer Clube USA. The Clube can be found on Motortopia.
Lane,

I do have a Honda Pilot and also an Isuzu Rodeo. I just plain forgot that I chauffeured you'll around in the Honda. The MP would be a better way to travel than the Beck based on set-up and running gear. The Beck has a swing axle with chamber compensator and the MP has an independent rear suspension. The butter soft leather reclining seats are total comfort and let's not forget the roll-up side windows! Also more storage room.
I will be attending Carlisle for the first time with my son. I am coming from Bloomington,INdiana and will be leaving here early Friday morning. Sign me up for as many activities as there is still room for given that I will be there for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights and leaving early Sunday morning. I already have my reservation at the hotel Carlisle. Looking forward to putting faces with names for 99%. Hoping for good weather.

Dang I'm gonna miss you here Leon! You're about all that keeps us sane - or at least close to it.

Cory - Sippin' some Tullamore or Maker's (or both) whilst smokin' a ceegar sounds like a fine way to end one evening there, doesn't it? I have a couple of Cubans from Mike 'Le Marteau' Cochrane that I'm bringing. One of 'em's yours to celebrate your recent (or impending?) retirement from the military.
Leon,
I was really hoping to finally meet a bunch of my fellow Spyder club members! I hope all works out for you and your family.

As far as drinks we are bringing Patron (silver) and Bacardi rum and maybe some Limoncello that we picked up while in Rome, Italy.

I have not checked the weather...I hope it does not rain. If it looks like a lot of rain then we will probably skip going. Go away rain!!!!

SG
I am not familiar with Carlisle or its weather for May. I do not have a top for my car. I do not drive the car if it rains. We have been caught in a bad down pour and it was beyond miserable. The color of my car makes it very hard for others to see when it starts raining. So far the weather channel is showing up to Thursday the 19th and it shows heavy rain for the entire east coast. I really hope it clears up for everyone!
Lane----believe me---I am watching the flooding Mississippi like a hawk!

The word is that the flooding has reached the highest point it will be and that it will start receeding tonight. The two right lanes Eastbound are open and carrying two way traffic.

I feel certain that in a week I-40 will be as high, dry and torn up as always.

Plan B was St Louis and East from there but that's not going to be necessary.

Just can't wait to hit the road! WOOOHOO!!
As far as the weather, we've had it pretty good for the last five years excepting 2008 with the one NASTY day. So don't worry about it, Stephen and Darcie. Besides, you have a tow vehicle and there will be PLENTY of right seats available. It isn't a Caddy, but I will have a spare seat and DO have a top. Just bring ear plugs, it is pretty loud inside with the top on.

In Gardiner NY is a place called Tuthilltown Spirits: http://tuthilltown.com/. They make some good bourbon and some single malt, about ten minutes from home. Planning to bring some as well as some homebrew beer we made. Thanks to LennyC's son Chris(and Lenny) for the fresh hops! Some of you have had it before, been homebrewing since 1995. And some "Bag" for Paul...he knows what I mean.
Danny,
I am offended you did NOT offer me the one thing that will make the rain better..........your world famous Grotons Fisherman suit LOLOL It looks like so far the only day it is going to pour is the day we arrive. We are trying to come up with the best way to *wrap* the Spyders cockpit so it wont get totally soaked on the trailer ride up to PA. I dont want to scratch the paint. I am bringing my cover for night time.
Even if it does not rain I really hope to get a ride in your Spyder. Earplugs?? LOL are you kidding me?? I love the sound of the engine!! WilburNC was the only Spyder owner that was in my local area, and he sold his two years ago. That is the only other one I have ever seen and ridden in.

I also hope that one of these nice Speedster owners will let me ride in their cars. They are not a common site in this neck of the woods. I have been checking out some of the ones on this forum and I really love the ones that look like the one Kelly McGillis drove in Top Gun. Im sorry I am not up to Speedster speed and do not know the various model names/numbers. Anyways we are looking forward to meeting everyone!!! Patron shots coming up!!
