Great news---Jim Ignatio (musbejim) is flying from Socal to little Rock and will be my co-driver from Hot Springs, AR to Carlisle, PA! We roll outta here on Tuesday, 5/14 headed for the Blue Ridge Mountains in Knoxville after Crossing the Mississippi at Memphis, passing through Music City (Nashville) then on to Knoxville. I believe Nolan Scott will meet up with us in Knoxville and have dinner with us and John Hallstrand. Day II we drive to Christiansburg, VA to meet up with 4-5 more cars and drivers, Day III is stopping in Hagerstown, MD for lunch and joining another 6-8 more cars and drivers then cruise on into Carlisle. The Hot Springs to Carlisle trip is 1,132 miles and will take 16-17 hours of driving. Plus 45 gallons of gas and 1/4 quart of oil.
How much of a blast will this be??!!
Do shoot video on that cross country tour. At some point some of us east coasters will have to reprise the Cannonball Baker Sea to Shining Sea Memorial Trophy Dash

What, no dancing? Then again, I've seen Jack and Alice packed in for a road trip and I guess there wouldn't be much room for fancy footwork. In any event, I'm excited to have these two road warriors heading towards Tennessee in May. woot woot!

Well, if he can commit to that kind of a ride, I'm somehow gonna find a way to get there, too. Don't know who'll be coming along, but it'll probably be Chris as he hasn't been in a few years (the price of having kids right around Carlisle time, IMO)

Hi Bruce---I am registered with Carlisle and also have my reservation at the Courtyard Marriott. It'll be me, my son, Russ and his son, Sean.
Alice is flying to D.C. to be with our daughter's family and to see our new granddaughter who is due right befoe Carlisle. Sunday after Carlisle I'll drive to DC (Russ too, I hope) to drive back to Hot Springs, AR with Alice and the new granddaughter if we can get away with it!
I have emailed the RSVP sheets to you for me and Russ.
We can't wait for Carlisle and I'll have a co-driver from Hot Springs to Carlisle

Gazi, you should get all chummy with Nolan down there in Florida, prime him with gifts galore over the next couple of months, speak nicely to him, no crude humor etc. and maybe, impress him with your knowledge, prove to him you travel well (without your Batman mask) and just maybe he'd strap you onto his luggage rack.
