It's gonna be a phenomenal year - the 10th - keep 'em coming!!

Gazi:

Flying into Carlisle is almost like flying into Homestead, FL.  NOTHING will be a direct flight.

However!  You could fly into Washington, DC and catch a ride to Carlisle with Cory Drake or (in a more civilized way) with Kelly Frazer, then catch a ride back to DC with the same guy or maybe Jack or Russ Crosby.  There are many ways to get there so just ask who's going and catch a ride.

Let me help:  Who can give Gazi a ride from DC to Carlisle and back so he can fly in from Miami for the weekend?    If anyone's interested we'll get you both together and you can work out logistics via email.

Thanks,  The Speedstah guy from Grafton

(heck, I just want to meet Gazi and I live in the wrong place!)

Gazi,

Many of us have right-seaters going with us to Carlisle so I'm not sure about getting a ride from the airport.  It would be great if someone could do that but, if not, you could rent a car at the airport.  BTW, the BWI airport in Baltimore is another option for flying in, it's about a 2-hour drive to Carlisle.  There are almost always some empty seats going on the cruises Thursday, Friday and Saturday and that's always a possibility for getting a ride.

I might--just might, pending the wife's final decision--be able to pick Gazi up at BWI on Thursday afternoon. My offer of a ride would of course be contingent on his wearing the Batman getup during his flight in AND the ride to Carlisle.

By the time we get there he'll probably want a TD instead of a Speedster though. BTW, anyone else count up the MG contingent so far? I see five on the above list already.

TDR---what's with "fly up there"??  You should think about caravaning with Lane (Charleston, SC and Nolan, Ft Lauderdale, FL.  My first two trips from Hot Springs, AR was in a Vintage with a Type I 1915 engine---no reason you can't drive the trip in your car.

Please consider this---you would have a sensational time.

Hey Rich--good one!  The plan is for me to drive Jim to an airport so he can fly home.

I am planning to drive to DC Sunday morning after Carlisle and that looks like a good place where Jim can get a direct flight to LAX.

Do some of you PA locals know a better departure airport for JIm that might be closer to Carlisle than D.C.?  I guess it depends on the flight times.  Phila looks to be an hour or so away.  When we hear from Jim as to his flight preference we can coordinate getting him to which ever airport that works best for him.  If he chooses a flight from D.C. I'll take him there.

JIm--let us know your flight possibilities so we can get you to your departure airport!

Thanks, Alan---that's what I was looking for.

So Jim, check out the non-stop flights outta both BWI and DCA and pick the best one for you.

We can leave Carlisle at any time Sunday morning to meet your flight.  I'd plan to get to the airport at least an hour and a half ahead of your flight if you download a boarding pass and a little more if you'll need to get a ticket and boarding pass at the airport.

Do send that RSVP that's printed on a previous page of this thread to Bruce.

Everyone is happy that you are again joining the Eastern contingent for Carlisle!

Received RSVPs from Dave Bash - Indiana - and Stacey Campbell - Virginia.  Thanks guys!

So far I've received 31 RSVPs accounting for a total of about 48 people.

Hard to tell if this is an big early headcount, I keep track of alot of details but not the date of receipt.  Right now we are about halfway to the final count we had last year but I'm hoping to exceed that this year.
