Bruce, I won't have much room in Natalie, but I could bring my pignose & I think I have a mic. I'll get back to you tonight.
Bruce, I have a cheap Radio Shack mic with a long cord & a 1/4 plug that was only used once before. I plugged it into my Pignose and the sound quality was amazingly good. However, the volume wasn't that high. So, I have you covered with a mic, but maybe someone who's not driving their Speedster with a passenger could bring a more powerful amp.
Tom,
What's a pignose? I'm wondering if you;re strapped for space if shipping here and back would be economical.
Anyone else have anything?

For awhile there I thought Tom was traveling to Carlisle in his Peugeot d3 or d4 "pig nose".

Sunnyside just called... they now have an amp and mic for us to use.
Ok, only 8 more days before Jan and I hit the road North to Knoxville, Christiansburg and onto Carlisle. We'll probably stay the first night in Savannah or near bout. Any floods, tornados, earthquakes, fires, blizzards or other disasters we need to drive around?

Smooth sailing all the way. Knock on wood.

Nolan,
William Tecumsah Sherman marched through there & burned the place down........
but that was 150 years ago. I think your safe.
See ya in Christiansburg, as we begin our venture into yankee territory.

I did a copy/paste, and the web formatting all went to hell, but the text came through. There would appear to be a pattern here: they use the notation "precip" an awful lot -- like every freakin' day!! Pack plenty of blue tape . . .

The forecast has been all over the place the past few days. They're obviously guessing at this point, let's give it a few days.
6 days away anything can happen including, decent weather ...
Predicting drought with widely scattered polar bears.....Maybe....It could happen.....
Supposed to rain all week here so maybe it's statistically possible it'll clear for Friday-Sunday?
Yup. It was supposed to rain here all day - never did. In fact, I was supposed to go to a cruise-in tonight but didn't go because of "expected showers".
My forecaster says 30% to 60% chance of rain...Whatever that means!
Dontworryaboutit
70%-40% chance of sun.
Now the weather liars don't know what to do so they just say we'll have "chance" of rain for the next 10 days! This happens every year and the forecast flip flops several times prior to the event.
I suggest keeping a small pocket style umbrella handy for a hit or miss shower.
.....and blue painter's tape.

I am with Alan, don't worry about it. It may rain, it may not. Just come, have a good time, and take it as it comes....
IF YOU PREREGISTERED WITH CARLISLE, DON'T FORGET TO BRING YOUR STICKER
If you already received your windshield sticker from Carlisle don't forget to bring it with you. Suggest putting it in your Speedster now while you think of it or stick it on your windshield and you won't have to worry about it. I'm just sayin'......

ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT ALASKAN CRAB LEGS SPECIAL AT LEGENDS.
I just sent out an email to everyone who placed an RSVP for the Friday night cruise to dinner at the Legends Sports Bar & Grill. In addition to their regular menu, Legends is offering a special to our group. The special is All-you-can-eat Alaskan Crab Legs for $21.95. The special includes corn-on-the-cob and a baked potato with the first serving and then the crab legs are replenished on every additional serving. Since our group numbers approximately 70-80 people, the restaurant is asking for an approximate count of people who will be interested in the special so they don

Apparently you and I are currently incompatible re: e-mails. Maybe AOL via Verizon doesn't like Comcast. I have not received the last two you said you were sending out. I am assuming you will have the itinerary as a hand out at the motel. I am also assuming the "all- you-can-eat" is the other one - I won't eat crab legs and haven't been able to verify with Glenn. I am guessing he would like them but I don't know about his finances. Will keep trying to read the e-mail you sent and I received notice of BUT AOL says it is not available at this time.

Gents,
Merlot is to arrive tomorrow night! Ain't much time to pack and check her out. I plan on leaving Wednesday morning and travel the back roads. (221). Gives me a chance to learn to drive again. Oh, my poor co-pilot!
