Should I post a teaser or keep them in suspense? The decision is up to "The Board".
For once, I'm in the know :-)

I'd say hold off until there's a prototype, a deadline to order and a price. Otherwise, as enthusiastic as this bunch is, it'll be impossible to track who wants one vs. who's actually mailed a check.
Trust me gang, this year's souvenir rocks.

Still working on the alternator exchange, painting the fan shroud to match the body and changing fuel lines and hoses - you know what it is like not having a garage much less heat. I still hope to get em done.

Gordon, we plan on towing to Carlisle if I find a suitable trailer. We will leave from home or from my brother's house in western Mass.
That's about as much planning as I've done so far.

Do you to say Baastin(Boston) to be part of that caravan?

OK we got Cuzin Vinny and MUSBJIM, very excellent. And all the rest, as listed here. BTW, ECB, your reg'n form was just sent.
But what is this about
GERD CAN'T MAKE IT??
Well that is just a bunch of CRAP. How we gonna have The Three Amigos, if only two show up?
And I am very much IN on the pilgimage to Max's to put fire in the belly of his beast, aka Speedster, which of course I do not believe he has one of, at least not yet. April 1st would be SO appropriate as a date. Max's Speedster: Just an urban myth, like 90% of what you might hear from Max on any given day. I mean, come on, the guy writes fiction for a living. Or wishes he could . . .

Daaang---THREE West Coasters---sensational. Might be a record.
Any of you folks in the East or in the middle thinking about attending Pismo? I have one last hurdle and then will be able to commit. Russ, my son and I would drive to Pismo this spring for that
event. Me in my Speedster and Russ in his 911. We need company on this drive!

If You guys are going cross-country sort-of together (two different cars) then you should get a pair of FMS radios for your trip.
Beats the heck out of cell phones, are good for well over a mile car-to-car AND some of them support VOX (with a suitable headset) for hands-free chats. Mine lasts a day on a charge and recharges overnight.
We use them on club rides in New England all the time. I've also heard that they're the same frequencies as the helmet radios that Bikers use. Usually around $50 a pair for better ones.

The trip accross oner to the left coast is just sensational. I hope we can get a couple of others to join us. There are reasonable motels that are first class I know about as well as wonderful restaurants.
Any brave souls out there in the East or Middle thinking about Pismo in June?

Peter is driving from Beverly Massachusetts and Al is driving from Eastham, Massachusetts. Looks like more potential for a caravan from the northeast.

NOW it's a party!
Hey guys, seriously, there's a rule about Hawaiian shirts. They are the official SOC uniform for dinner on Saturday night, and rapidly growing in acceptance for the rest of the four-day shindig.
If you don't have a Don Ho Special, a Magnum P.I.-approved print or just a killer approximation of something Polynesian, now's a great time to look around for one. We take great pride in our Hawaiian shirts here in the Mid-Atlantic.
I'm jus' sayin' ...

I will be bringing a brand new Spooner Hawaiian shirt for the annual auction. XL

What the HELL is Hoss doing???
I dunno, but it's kinda scary.
The vintage shirt link Cory posted is awesome.
If you prefer to buy new, here is my favorite store:
http://www.alohashirtshop.com
Their service is extraordinary. Shipping is free. Order in the morning, they will usually ship the same day. You'll have your shirts in two days.

In that picture I think Hoss is doing what is called 'The Half Alcatraz'. 8-)
In this picture, he's posed as 'Scary Uncle'! 8-)
How come this knucklehead Pacific Islander is the ONLY SOCer NOT wearing a Hawaiian shirt (must be high on betel nut)...

Obviously the betel nut has amazing powers for stimulating hair regrowth.
