Bruce---seems we are getting a lot more signed up this year---how does it compare with last year?

Right now we're running about the same number of RSVP's as last year's final and it's early and I suspect more will to report in as we get closer to May. We also always have a number of surprises showing up unannounced.

For anyone reading this thread, planning to join the Meet and has not sent me an RSVP, please keep in mind we are limited on the size of the cruises and the dinners...not to mention you may miss the window on a hotel room if you're planning to stay overnight. The restaurants are asking for head counts and we may be limited to the counts we establish - we're working on a first come-first served so keep that in mind. Thanks.

Jack Crosby~ I hope you will do your presentation again LOL loved the part about the gun!! :) Still got your American Graffiti shirt? You DO remember what movie that is from right? (Remember at the awards ceremony when we talked about that shirt? LOL)

SG, thanks for the invite but I think I would be too slow for you youngsters. Besides, I might want to find a Dunkin' Doughnuts and a nice cup of joe before heading out to the day's event. Age sucks. I do the best I can with what I've got left, but, as a old buddy of mine used to say, I "keep on punching". GO, KNOXVILLE HALF!!!! I'll finish.

I was thinking there weren't ENOUGH Italians coming . I feel better now. We love Lenny, he's a good earner.

Actually, and, I think, speaking for a bunch of the regulars, we've had our pictures on here enough that you'll probably recognize some of us and then see the badge and discover that your hunch was right. More often, you'll recognize the car first, and then look to see who's hanging around it to make the connection.

Either way, we're all about the most easy-going bunch of folks you'll ever meet and we're all just waiting to say Hi! to one another and BS about our cars (and just about everything else).

Looking forward to seeing all of you "Left Coasters" there this year. It should be a treat for all of us!

BTW: The picture below was from 2005 - my second year at Carlisle, and I was doing the Hawaiian shirt thing way back then (started it in 2004, actually). Just got a new, turquoise Hawaiian shirt - another Tori Richards limited edition - from my daughter as a Thank You for something. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with Speedsters, but I'll be bringing that one to Carlisle, too!

Your recognition assessment is right on Gordon. Last year was my first attendance and I did the same as you describe, connect the car to the face. It was fun way to meet.

Bruce---I just got some good news---my son, Russ Crosby and his wife, Brenda just found out that tthey will be able to attend Carlisle
so that';s two more. Russ will send you the RSVP Sign Up form.

Please also add my wife, Alice to the list of attendees. Rather that her going to D. C. to see out new granddaughter we will both head over there Sunday after Carlisle. I'll send you my revised RSVP.

Suggestion--please consider adding the spouses or significant others names to the ateendee list? That would be helpful!

Vince, the badges are for our own use later in the evening. Fer instance, if a purty young thing rejects our advances by saying "Just who the hell do you think you are?", we can quickly find the answer.
