There is a lot to do around the Carlisle showfield

Frankly, I think most of you "East coaster's" need therapy, more than anything else....

I could be interested in the right kind of therapy, Vince.

If Max organizes a drunken ant gymkhana, I'll bring some Florida Fire Ants, really vicious little critters, especially when they've had a few too many.

Yeah, and when they're drunk enough, they fart flames......

Someone wrote me and proposed the following:


"Blindfold driver event".

Set up a short course (lane about 1-1/2 car widths wide) with one or more gradual turns (depending on space).

Pin balloons to the edge of the course every 6-10 feet. Blindfold the driver and a navigator in the car gives turning directions. To be driven at a slow speed of course. However fastest time and fewest balloons broken wins the event.


Not sure if this would be run before or after cocktails...

or on the skid pad with the Go Karts.....

I'll take wasted flame farting ants over Twinkie-loving black bears any day. If ya got 'em in your back pack, you better drop it or run like hell. A little flame assisted thrust from the lunch time Dinty Moore might be an asset.

Seriously, though, I have been asked to do a carb clinic. Weber 44 IDF and the like(40 and 48 IDF are the same) and a Dellorto 45 whatever it is called have been obtained for disassembly. So a disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and syncing/setup clinic for those interested. What say you? Thanks, Jack and Lenny....

If you do the clinic outside in the tent you will never have ecveyone's attention. Plus you'll have to scream to be heard.
I vote for the club room at the hotel. as a venue. We need to set up a time. Maybe before the raffle? But strictly your call.

Keep in mind there are quite a few female right-seaters joining us this year...at last count 28! If there are some daily drivers available maybe a trip in to town for lunch, a pool party at the hotel or..... We're open for suggestions (except from Vince)....
