Things to remember to bring along to Carlisle:

We could probably make a huge list of things to bring with you but following are a few important items:

1. If you pre-registered with Carlisle, you should have received in the mail a window sticker and a goodie bag claim form. Suggest you either apply it to your windshield now or stow it somewhere in you car because that will be needed to get into the fairgrounds.
2. If you ordered shirts, bring along your shirt order receipt form that you received via email so you can claim your shirts.
3. Your donation(s) for the Saturday afternoon raffle.
4. Suntan lotion.
5. If you have space, a chair or two to sit on by the tent. I ordered extra chairs for the tent this year but we can always use more.
6. Your favorite beverages and snacks for the hospitality suite.
7. Your favorite Hawaiian shirt(s).

Two more days!

Just got off the phone to our Carlisle shirt supplier.
I've misplaced my emailed 'confirmation' and called them requesting that a duplicate confirmation be sent... so I don't bug Cory.
Spoke first to Carla who passed me on to 'Joe' who did the actual shipping. Our orders are individually packaged and identified both by confirmation#...AND BY NAME!
So hopefully a misplaced confirmation# number won't be a PITA for Cory...or for me.
I just figured out where to find the inside info. I'll work at being better for next year....I would like 2 shirts. My choices are XL red short sleeve and any color XL long sleeve T's, however anything in XL will work. One of each 1 short & one long sleeve T if possible.
I live in the Carlisle area and will be at all the events starting on thursday evening.I am good for the cash or I can do credit card or pay pal. Thanks Rich.

Dave, the only way (even if you are Catholic and miracles happen) we can get more shirts printed will be with a sizable order. I had a hard time getting about 100 shirts for the original order (I had hoped optimistically for 200...shows you what I know). Do what you can with tentative orders, make a list with e-mail addresses. When the parties over on Sunday we'll see what you come up with and how my supplier feels about another short run. We can talk next week once you get a list. The shipping costs to individual addresses is the tough part to swallow, that's why we offered the bulk shipping rate to keep costs down. Do what you can and want at Carlisle. You can still order poster print outs at any time. See link here: http://www.brewcityonline.com/brewcity/dept.asp?s_id=1&dept_id=10019
Bruce and all:

Just got back into the country from the Dominican where I had limited email and cell. Bruce...saw your email...thanks for reaching out. Apologies for not seeing it sooner.

Work beckons again and I just canceled my room at the Marriott...anyone looking for extra rooms...one is open. Just cancelled 5 minutes ago. I am going to try to day trip out on early saturday as I have to fly out of Newark on Sunday AM.

You guys have some great weather this weekend!

Have a great time....If I can make it...see you on the show field Saturday morning.

Justin

The United issues just don't stop. I was originally supposed to be flying into Chicago, but that was changed to DC and then DC was changed to guess where....Newark! After my two Fresno #&$%-ups, I finally made it to SF where I had an 8 hour layover. Then my flight out of SF was delayed by about 1 hour and I got to the Harrisburg flight gate in Newark exactly 2 minutes after they closed it! I'm now on a flight that should arrive in Harrisburg at 11:55am, but it's a United flight, so I'm not holdng my breath.
It's now been over 24 hours since I left my house yesterday morning.
I'm not a big drinker, but I might just have a big slug of Vince's Oban when I finally get there.
Maybe I should have just drove the Speedster!
Pennsylvania is amazingly beautiful, especially this morning on the "five covered bridges of Perry County cruise. Weather was absolutely wonderful, roads were very winding and speed limits were challenging on the upper side. What a wonderful cruise we all had, and there were something like 45 cars going along!!!

We all ended up at the show field for the afternoon with continuing great weather. Lots of cars on Friday, but even more expected tomorrow. Only one breakdown- a car coming from Indiana suffered a dead front wheel bearing. Wild Bill and I have the new bearings and some bearing grease and, once it arrives at the hotel via tow truck, we'll Git R Dun!

Cruising to dinner tonight at a sports bar, then socializing where-ever.

This is turning into a great Carlisle weekend!!

After several days of turning wrenches, getting re-acquainted with old friends and clear, bright days of driving weather, I have arrived at the inescapable conclusion that this group of people are the best friends I have ever had.

Today, I watched Danny destroy a tuned Miata on the open highway. I saw people work furiously to put a car back on the road for a man they barely knew. I had conversations I wouldn't know how to begin to have with family.
Well, I certainly missed a good weekend. I was fortunate enough to attend the very first Carlisle, and I will certainly attend the next.

Yes, even after having been away for awhile, you are right, these guys are good friends and would do anything to help someone out.

I remember a comment from one of the wives that very first gathering. She could not believe that everyone was meeting each other for the very first time (in person), as she said it was like a bunch of old friends getting together. And that was exactly what it was.

It's nice to hear nothing has changed.

Carlisle 2013 or bust.
All I gotta say is - We all have to get WAY more colorful Hawaiian shirts to keep up with the Nigerians next door. For those of you who couldn't make it to Carlisle's Saturday evening "Gala dinner banquet", in the adjacent conference room there was a 50'th birthday celebration for a Nigerian guy. We had about 80 people in our room, they must have had about 200, easy, plus a big African band (which sounded very Reggae at times). Don't know who he is or what he does, but never have I seen more colorful outfits on both men and women, and the African music coming from the other room, while very, very cool, was also very, very loud. Fortunately, ECB managed to get the hotel to "pull the plug" on their amps and we had quiet just long enough to do the awards and my pitch. Had me really worried there, for a while.....

I also don't want us Easteners to give you Left Coasters the wrong idea.......Vince was a mega, friggin PITA. EXACTLY the same as he seems on the forum. I figure I need to say that so you'll let him come back home to his Speedster, which he says he loves. Besides, WE DON'T WANNA KEEP HIM! (Dude! You know I'm kiddin (maybe))

Hope you and Terri had a safe trip home, and the rest of you West Coasters, too. Absolutely GREAT to meet you all. We made it home by 4pm Sunday without incident, tired, happy and noshing on take-out pizza. GREAT WEEKEND, EVERYONE!
Made it home to Ohio by 1:30 without incident. Thanks to sunscreen, no issues. What a great time, especially having dinner with those strange people from way out west, (Troy, Vince and Jim). Thanks to all.
To Mike M. I have your oil filter packed for shipping in the morning. Get me your email address for a couple things that will aid in installation.
I'm much better at saying what comes out of my mouth without thinking, rather than something scripted (somebody asked me that over the weekend) So just off the top of my head, I would like to thank everyone for being so kind to my wife & I, we had a frigging great time. I promise to return to my usual self when I get back to So. Cal.
Nolan, I love you....but please quit telling everyone that I'm a nice guy, your focking everything up...
Oh, almost forgot...ECB, you did a great job, you & the Misses need to come to a Pismo event, but no organizing, we don't like that $hit..
