Carlisle rents the tents for $175.  But if we achieve 25 or more Carlisle registrations the previous year or by this year's deadline of April 14 then we get the tent for free.  25 registrations gets a 20'x20' tent, 50 registrations a 20'x30' tent and 75 registrations a 20'x40' tent.  We have been lucky to make at least 50 registrations every year so have our own roomy tent for FREE.  That's one of the reasons I push every year for everyone to make their Carlisle registrations as soon as possible.

We do pay to rent the tables and chairs that will be under the tent.  This year we will again have 20 chairs and 2 tables.  This expense and all other expenses of the weekend are paid for by the $ generated at the Saturday evening raffle so your donations and participation for that activity will be appreciated.

John....

NJRC we used a motor home one year when it about snowed on the Saturday ....your MH could be designated SOC support vehicle. ~

Paul...

I remember slapping Rocky's arse ...he started to pull out and hit the brakes hard and I tapped his taillight lense. Hence a light case of vehicular intercourse.

(Vince will like the references herein :~)

Bill...if the weather turns bad you need to bring that motor home to the show grounds.

The year Al referred to, it was cold. Really cold. And windy. Bl.ustery is a good word for it. I believe it was Rocky's son-in-law who was in town for a Corvair vintage racing thing. He brought his motor home onto the fairgrounds, and the NJRC guys & gals had a warm place to huddle when we couldn't take it any more.

At times it looked like a college prank, "How many people can we squeeze into this here motor home?"

Can't wait either.

"Ruby" and her owner, Al Shapiro will join me and Alice caravanning from Hot Springs to Carlisle.

First stop Knoxville for dinner with Nolan and Hoss and their brides then on to Christiansburg the next day with me, Hoss and Nolan.  We'll miss making the trip with Nolan as we have done the past few years but wifh him a great recovery from his recent successful heart surgery.

Gonna be another fine time.

FIVE more days to the start of Speedsters Meet Spyders weekend and SEVEN to the start of Carlisle weekend!!!!

Why the ladies you ask?  It's Carlisle's Passport program. You traverse the grounds and win prizes.  More prizes are added each year as part of the program.  To participate, all you do is walk the Showfield and look for the checkpoints.  In your free event directory you'll find a Passport insert that you can have stamped by the ambassadors for each country.  Once you have all of the stamps, proceed to Guest Services to receive your 2015 commemorative pin and spin the wheel for a chance to win a prize.
