Sent the car off to the interior shop. Its kinda odd not seeing it in the garage. I kinda miss it. Bare garage means more projects. So .. I polished up the stainless steel console. Installed the left and right head temp gauges, remote starter button, cup holders and shifter boot and ring. Also made up some nice seat belts. I can't wait to get the car back.

Joe,

What are you drinking that demands cup holders of that strength and stature . . . Mescal, Absinth, Metaxa (five star) . . . ?
I'm coming to your next party . . .

SWEET console! What are you using for a shifter boot and bezel? Almost looks like a CV joint boot, but I doubt it.
The mystery device is a homemade horn commutator. I didn't like the idea of the steering column being a hot. So I came up with this thing. There is a plactic sleeve with a copper contact that will be mounted the steering shaft. There will be a hot wire that runs up through the steering shaft to the horn switch.Everything is isolated from being shorted to ground. I didn't like a hot source right beneath the gas tank.
