Thanks Ray ! .........Bruce
You can thank El Guapo... he made it and we are all here waiting with bated breath for the first drive
Tom B started his countdown as well, we're into double digits instead of triples.
Wow, Ray, I made that clip 4 years ago goofing with split screen video cloning (or clowning). I drive my Speedy several times a week as part of my therapy. Looking forward to catching up with my SOC bruthas at Carlisle 2018!

Jim I sent those videos to my daughters today they laughed and said great editing skills on that two man clowning event.
Hope to be there as well.
Love your videos, Jim!

Here's what I really typed with VR.
So much fun. Nice to see that one again.
It reads like you’re typing with a reggae vibe to your speech.
I missed the Velzy t shirt the first time I saw this. Hope they are still build ing great sticks. Great video four years a go, and has just gotten better with age! Thanks again Jim.

@Panhandle Bob Bob, I had a couple of Bing's, a Jacobs performer and a few other sticks but never a Velzy. They're still around, I saw a couple at a Longboard Collector's Club swap meet at Doheny Beach (where I got the Velzy T-shirt). Crazy prices ($2K +) for some of those vintage boards.
Stopped surfing a few years ago (dang 69 year old arthritic knees) but still cruise to Old Man's at San Onofre (San Clemente, SoCal) once in a while.
I'm quite jealous of @Bill Prout 's Hawaii surf pics.
Hope our paths cross somewhere down the road, my brutha!

I remember hanging out at the HB Pier area, but my crew always started the day at Lifeguard tower 17 where Hwy 39 met PCH. Jack's Surfshop downrown HB was where we went to admire the boards.
Life was so simple.
Jack's is still there on the corner of Main and PCH and we hung out at Lifeguard tower 7. The odd numbers were on the left of the pier and only the nerds hung out on the right.
I couldn't afford a board back then and was mainly a body surfer and belly boarder. That was before Boogie boards and we made our own belly boards out of plywood.
It's been more than 50 years since I board surfed, so I thought it would be a good idea to take some lessons while we are here in Costa Rica. Today was my second lesson.
Here's some pictures and a link to some video.

Cool shots Troy! Looks like a great 2nd day of lessons. Color me green with envy.
Great video! Watching it makes me want June to get here that much sooner so we can all cruise the coast...
Very cool, Troy! @Troy Sloan
