Nice Pics! Coincidentally, I was watching an episode of California's Gold last night and they were in Death Valley doing a feature on the blooms too. The rainfall this season dropped enough water in the badlands that they were able to take out kayaks. They showed the traffic coming too of all the folks coming out to see it all -- pretty wild!
GQ - I'll give you a holler for my next excursion. There are a lot of cool places you (and family) could get to in your Suburban. I also promised Will (billyfeet) Pierson that we would head out to the desert (before it gets too hot) when he gets settled in his new digs in Escondido!

Paul - Give me a holler if you're ever on the West Coast and we'll do some Rover'ing. If you don't bring your Disco with you we'll just take my beater RRC around on the dunes or back-roads!

Adrian - Spring time in Death Valley is one of the most awesome desert experiences (and scenery) you could hope for. Lots of cool canyons, abandoned mining towns and geological formations to explore. Funny thing is, no matter HOW HOT it gets (summertime temps of 115+) you'll still find some German tourists on holiday hiking the trails...go figure!
