In a bent kind of way, that 'Glockler' treatment is pretty cool.
I wouldn't turn it away, but I'd lose the badging.

Very sweet but at my age and with no doors I could never get out once I got in.

It would appear to be a VERY well assembled Perry..... Note the rear mounted engine.... There have been a couple of Perrys on SAMBA in the past month or so....

Absolutley hands down the best Perry I've ever seen. Got to love the Beck seats.
Not ment facetiously, it really is a WELL done Perry.

That's really nice ! The aftermarket '39 Ford "Devil's Head" tail lights are a nifty touch.
I wish that those bodies were more affordable or turned up used and abused, one would be perfect for a sloped roof coupe along the lines of the Abarth Porsches. Doors would be half doors like the old Coopers, chassis could be an old sand rail cut down to the door rails.
Love to find a body like that some day, they've been around for years in one form or another.

It needs a little sealing in the engine compartment.

I don't think it is a Perry: http://kitcarlist.com/glockler/
You guys should read-up on the Glockler Spyders. Kind of an interesting story during the very formative years of Porsche racing.

There was one of these that had been shortened to a conventional Spyder or Speedster wheelbase around here for some time. It makes all the difference in the world looks wise to shorten the body. The Glockler was intended to fit on the standard VW chassis, like the Perry Spyder, and IMO they just don't look "good" with the extra lenght.
The shortened one here in the Houston area (not finished) has not been seen by me in a number of years and the fellow who had it has also dissapeared.... he had several such strange cars about in his garage and outbuildings....he owes me money so I doubt he will surface for me...

Mark's right, it's not a Perry.
I looked up some Perry pictures, hood is different, front clip different, Perry has doors, rear deck is entirely different, etc. Not a Perry - not even close. My bad - saw rear engined and thought "Perry" instantly.
Now I like it even more - LOL!

Faked the hell out of me....... Lets see what it winds up going for...
damn thing has hemroids.
It definitely is not a Perry, I built one years ago, this one is similar in that it uses a full pan and has the rear mounted engine. I would look a lot better in MHO if it had a hide-away muffler system or used Zoom tubes.
