I'm about to pull the trigger on a Speedster in Orlando, FL. I have never seen even a photo of one this nice. Does anyone know this car? How can I identify the manufacturer. Owner doesn't know. Titled as '64 bug.

I think I know that car.
This is was on eBay looks stunning I even somehow thing the P ' rocker stripe works too
I checked with the original owner, and it is indeed the car I thought it was.
This car had a very unique genesis, and was originally nicknamed “The Teal Deal”. It’s a JPS, and was the third replica speedster built for a friend of mine from SoCal, a guy who was a regular poster here 15 years ago, but long ago moved on to other things.
It started life as a stipped down outlaw. The wheels, whitewalls, hood spear, and rocker lettering have all been added by subsequent owner(s).
Feel free to PM me for details.
I love the color, the chopped roofline (visibility will be terrible   the 911 shroud. Great looking car.
What are they asking for this one?

Wow the new look 👀 is improve
Terry, What do you know about this car? I expect to be flying to Orlando tomorrow and driving it back 700 miles.
I'm more of a fan of the original look, myself. I really like the color.
I know Stan could fill you in as well but, the bottom line, I don't know what the car is like now. I can tell you that when it was originally built for John Leader, no shortcuts were taken, a lot of custom work was done and it moved like a scalded cat. John was a personal friend of John Steele as well as a stickler for details and perfection and, as a result, received a well-sorted car. The car was originally sold with low miles and zero issues.
I spoke to Stan this morning at length. Car now has 11,000 miles. I'll be headed to Orlando in the morning the pick it up.
Thanks,
original pic is happening for me, i remember the pics from years ago
Get here early.
It storms hard here every afternoon about 3PM.
Bring some 2" blue painter's tape and RainX. You will need them both.
Ask me how I know.
I live in Orlando.

It took me about 10 minutes to get all that out, and Terry did it in a paragraph.
John Leader got three of the best JPS builds ever done. He was local, famous, well respected in the PCS community, and a stickler for detail. John Steele wanted to build John Leader his very best cars, and he built him three of the nicest speedsters he ever produced.
Nobody will ever get another new JPS as nice as any of the three.

I've been there. Was a project manager for the Swan Hotel at Disney. It rains just enough to cook vegetables without a Bamboo Steamer. My youngest daughter was born at ORMC. She thinks she's a Florida native.
You're more likely to be run down by someone who has no idea where they're going than anyplace I've ever lived.
It's truly amazing what information you can get on this list about a car that's a whole country away.
My JPS/subie is also one of John's best as he built it for me to show it in his booth at Kit car Nationals in Carlisle a few years back. I have had 9000 very enjoyable miles in it so far.

Nice, What are the lights on the little dash panel on the right of the dash?
and what are the big lights on the big panel? Stinger missile, ejector seat, oil slick? You can't not see those.
I'm guessing oil pressure and shift lights.
