..looks like a Speedster

I'm guessing that is in New Zealand or Australia. They have some strange requirements in order to pass inspection
It's a big tent, but that should be close to the exit flap.
Stylistically, the car has a couple paper towel holders.
Roll hoops look like they would be must more effective.
And more suitable to the car's shape. You could put round headrests on them to achieve the same result.
Yeah this is someones homemade solution. I sent several over there and we did dual hoop roll bars that passed through the rear cowl and they had an attached headrest pad shaped to match the roll hoops.
Agreed. The headrests look so out of place. When Henry was building our car, I wanted a roll bar, but never considered head rests. That is, until my wife pointed out that she really didn't want her head to make contact with a metal cross bar.
So, we came up with a simple solution. Perhaps not as safe as 'real' headrests, but looks okay, and does provide some protection (as if these cars provide any protection)

It's hard to see but when I added the Lexan wind screen to the roll bar it doubled as a headrest / whiplash protector. Also, I think the double hoop roll bar is better looking than a double wide single hoop. The "squareness" is what is unappealing to me.......Bruce
PS............ This is the last photo of my "Rhonda". That's the new owner driving it away.
